I wanted to hydrate after a morning in the hot sun, so I ordered the refreshing Watermelon Hydrator with watermelon and mint.

The fun and trendy atmospheres feature vibrant, natural ingredients and plants adorning an open kitchen and smoothie bar.

I went to the downtown Miami location and had a hearty Quinoa breakfast bowl with roasted mushrooms, sauteed spinach, avocado, and pico de gallo, which I highly recommend.

Della and her team continued to serve beloved bowls out of their food truck, launching a digital cookbook during the pandemic to help loyal customers holed up at home.

Della Bowls finally opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Doral Yard, a creative and fashionable space in Downtown Doral.

Along with the famous bowls, the new establishment also serves a long list of kombucha, smoothies, desserts, and snacks.

You can also opt for the build-your-own-bowl.

I was more than happy to choose from one of their staple bowls.

I decided on the delicious Doral Bowl with brown rice, lentil meatballs, corn fritters, sofrito black beans, plantain, and a heart of palm avocado salad with a Verde salsa drizzle.

I went with the fan favorite, the PB&A acai bowl.

I chose a coconut milk base with acai, banana, and peanut butter blended into a sorbet and topped with cacao nibs, banana, and granola.

I was especially impressed by their vegan arepas.

I ordered the Falafel arepa with falafel made from dehydrated veggies and sunflower seeds with red pepper hummus, cucumber, and pickled beets wrapped in a warm arepa.

Even though they open at 11 am, they still offer a breakfast menu for late risers.

They offer incredible burgers, tacos, burritos, arepas, choripan, salads, and bowls.

I loved their creative fusion of arepa-meets-choripan called the Chorichapa, a fresh corn crepe wrapped around plant-based chorizo smothered in creamy vegan cheese and then topped with avocado and a spicy house sauce.

They still offer desserts like chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies and a vegan pecan maple pie.

I was also pleased to see some luxurious American comfort food like loaded waffle fries and fried rice.

My favorite dish was the Impossible chicken and broccoli fried rice with vegan oyster sauce.

Organic Food Kings is an edgy and alternative American comfort food stand in Midtown with a fun Astro-turf outdoor dining patio and colorfully muraled walls.

They’re a family-owned and operated restaurant specializing in completely plant-based takes on every American comfort food favorite, from fried chicken to burgers, to tacos.

By looking at the food, you’d never know it was vegan. All the meat and cheese look hyper-real and taste like the real thing, too.

I started with pulled pork empanadas and followed with a classic fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mayo.
