When they arrived, they found a man inside an apartment with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Jerry Silas, 43, of Stillwater. He was transported to a Stillwater hospital before being taken to OU Health by helicopter. He died from his injuries on Sunday, police said. Preliminary information indicated that an argument took place inside the apartment before the shooting. Detectives identified a 47-year-old man from Stillwater as the suspect in the shooting. He faces charges of first-degree manslaughter after a prior felony conviction. The suspect was located and arrested in Oklahoma City on Monday. He was transported to the Stillwater jail and will be transferred to the Payne County Jail, according to police. The investigation is ongoing. Police said there is a possibility that more charges will be added as the investigation continues.
